Yes. Each unit has its unique number on the base of the product and on the Certificate of Authenticity.

Will this edition be reproduced?

No. Once sold out, this edition will not be reproduced. It is strictly limited to 800 units.

Does the eye light up?

The T-800 Optics performs its full intended function as an artistic display collectible without electrical operation. The internal components are part of the artistic design but have the capacity to produce a reactive visual red glow, when the piece is placed near certain external inductive fields.

Can you tell me what device makes it glow?

The T‑800 Optics is a carefully designed premium artistic display piece. Its main function isn’t designed to operate electrically, so we don’t specify or recommend any external devices, chargers, or induction transmitters that can cause the internal components to glow. If it does react, it creates a cinematic‑style visual moment that can happen in certain electromagnetic environments.

Is the T‑800 Optics a toy?

No. This is a decorative collectible intended for adults. It should not be displayed within reach of children.

Does it contain small parts?

Yes. Keep out of reach of young children.

Does it contain glass?

Yes. The optical lens is glass. Please handle with care. If you drop it, you will break it.

Can I take it apart?

No. The Eye contains no user‑serviceable parts. Disassembly may cause damage and will void any applicable warranty.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. Indoor display only. Avoid moisture, humidity and extreme temperatures.

What materials will my skin come in contact with?

  • Optical glass

  • Nickel plating

  • Copper plating

  • Protective lacquer

Does it contain nickel?

Yes. The T‑800 Optics is plated in nickel. It is not designed for prolonged handling and should only be handled when necessary. If you have a nickel sensitivity it may cause irritation with extended contact. Please handle it with care or wear protective gloves.

How should I clean the T‑800 Optics?

Wear gloves and use a soft, dry, non‑abrasive cloth. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

Can I expose the T‑800 Optics to moisture?

No. Keep dry and indoors.

Can I leave the T‑800 Optics in direct sunlight?

Avoid prolonged sunlight or heat to preserve the high gloss finish.

Is this a pre‑order?

Where stated, yes. When you place a pre‑order, your unique edition number is immediately assigned to you and removed from the available inventory. You will also be issued a personalised digital ownership certificate linked directly to your allocated edition.

Both the edition number and the personalised certificate form part of the integrity of the limited release. Once allocated, they cannot ordinarily be reassigned, transferred, or re‑issued, as doing so would compromise the authenticity and traceability of the edition.

Can I choose my edition number?

No, unless specifically advertised.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders cannot be cancelled once production or personalisation of your digital certificate has begun. For full details, please see our Returns & Refunds Policy.

To cancel your order, contact us immediately through the contact form or via our email: sales@makinariumstudioedition.co.uk

Is there a limit on how many I can order?

Yes. We allow a maximum of 5 units per order.

When will my order be dispatched?

Once your order is ready. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as it ships.

What couriers do you use?

We work with trusted international couriers such as Royal Mail, DHL, UPS or FedEx, depending on your destination. The courier used for your order will be shown in your dispatch confirmation email.

Can I request a specific courier?

We are unable to accommodate courier requests, as services vary by region and availability.

How much is shipping

Shipping costs are shown at checkout and depend on your delivery destination.

Our shipping charges include:

  • Packaging

  • Handling

  • Courier services

  • Current courier fuel surcharges

Fuel surcharges are now fully built into our shipping rates. They are not collected separately by customs or couriers, which is why your shipping cost may feel higher than usual.

Fuel Surcharge

Couriers now add a fuel surcharge to cover transport and aviation fuel costs at the point of paying for shipping.

We include this directly in your shipping price at checkout so you see the full delivery cost upfront, with no extra fuel fees added later by the courier.

Why do you use DDU for international shipping?

We ship international orders using Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) because it keeps pricing simple and avoids charging customers for taxes that may not apply in their country.

Under DDU, you only pay:

  • the product price

  • the shipping cost shown at checkout

Any import duties, VAT/sales tax, or customs fees charged by your country are paid directly to your local customs authority or courier when your parcel arrives.

DDU is widely used for limited‑edition and collectible products because:

  • customs rules vary between countries

  • tax rates differ by region

  • some customers pay no import fees at all

  • it keeps checkout pricing transparent

  • it prevents overcharging customers for taxes they may never owe

If your country applies import charges, your courier will contact you to pay them before delivery. We are not responsible for parcels delayed, returned, or abandoned due to unpaid customs duties or taxes.

Do I have to pay customs or import taxes (DDU)

For international orders, we use Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) shipping.

This means the following are not included in your purchase price or shipping fee:

  • Import duties

  • VAT or sales tax charged by your country

  • Customs clearance fees

  • Courier brokerage or handling fees

If your country applies these charges, your courier will ask you to pay them before delivery. We cannot estimate these costs, as they vary by country.

If customs charges are not paid, the parcel may be returned to us or abandoned by the carrier. We are not responsible for parcels delayed, returned, or abandoned due to unpaid customs duties, taxes, or courier fees.

How can I check my local VAT, customs or duty rates?

Every country has its own tax rules, so there is no single universal guide. Your courier will contact you directly by phone or email if charges apply.

If you want to check in advance, the most reliable options are:

  • Your government’s customs website

  • Courier import‑fee guides

  • Online duty calculators

  • Your local customs helpline

These resources will give you the clearest picture of any charges that may apply when your parcel arrives.

Import fees are set by your country, not by us. If customs fees aren’t paid, the parcel may be delayed, returned, or abandoned by the carrier.

Why was my parcel delayed at customs?

Customs inspections can occasionally delay international shipments. These delays are outside our control and are not considered lost parcels.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive:

  • A dispatch confirmation email

  • Your tracking number

  • A link to track your parcel online

Tracking may take up to 24 hours to activate.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

Please double‑check your address before placing your order. We cannot guarantee changes once an order has been processed.

If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping charges may apply to resend it. If a parcel is lost or damaged due to incorrect information supplied by the customer, we reserve the right not to replace or refund the product.

What happens if delivery fails?

A delivery may fail if:

  • The address is incorrect

  • The parcel isn’t collected

  • Customs charges aren’t paid

  • Delivery is refused

If the parcel is returned to us, we’ll contact you to arrange redelivery. Additional shipping charges may apply.

What happens if my parcel is returned to sender?

If your parcel is returned to us, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. Additional shipping charges may apply. Shipping fees are non‑refundable for parcels returned due to unpaid customs charges or incorrect address information.

Are there any shipping restrictions?

We may cancel and refund orders if:

  • Shipping restrictions prevent delivery

  • Export regulations prohibit shipment

  • Sanctions or legal requirements apply

  • We cannot deliver safely or lawfully

Do you ship to PO Boxes or military addresses?

We are unable to ship to PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or forwarding services.

Do you offer gift wrapping or special packaging?

Our products are shipped in protective packaging designed for safe international transit. We do not currently offer gift wrapping.

Returns — Can I return my order

Returns follow our Returns Policy and your statutory rights. If your product arrives damaged, please contact us promptly so we can assist.

How do I contact customer support?

You can reach our support team at: sales@makinariumstudioedition.co.uk

How will I know if I need to pay anything?

If your country requires import charges, the courier (DHL, UPS, FedEx, or Royal Mail’s local partner) will contact you by:

  • Email

  • SMS

  • App notification

They will send a secure link to pay any duties or VAT.

How do I pay the import charges?

Follow the secure link sent by the courier and pay using:

  • Debit/credit card

  • PayPal

  • Apple/Google Pay

Once paid, your parcel is released for delivery.

What if I don’t pay the charges?

If the charges aren’t paid:

  • The courier will send reminders

  • The parcel will be held for several days

  • If still unpaid, it will be returned to us

We can refund the product cost once it arrives back (shipping and any fees are not refundable).

Why aren’t these charges included at checkout?

Every country has different tax rules.

Using DDU/DAP ensures:

  • You only pay import charges if your country requires them

  • You pay the exact amount directly to the courier

  • We don’t add extra costs that may not apply to you

This keeps pricing fair and transparent.

International Orders — Will I have to pay customs charges?

International orders may incur duties or taxes depending on destination. These are the customer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

Where do you post to?

The T‑800 Optics is currently available to the UK, EU and USA. We plan to extend our regions for future releases.
